Default WinME will not access the network.

My response is below: I have been trying to repost, but it doesn't seem to go thru so I will try one more
time.

John John had this to say:

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

Do you mean other than reinstalling ME? ;-)

Try he http://support.microsoft.com/kb/286748/EN-US/

----
I have tried everything you mentioned above, however the one item I don't know how to do is:
Anyone remember how to manually squash the stack in ME.

Again I have reformatted and reinstalled WinME (4 times now), but this time I installed a 3com 3c905 TX M Nic
which did not help either.

The only error message I have been getting is "Page cannot be found".
I am able to run WINIPCFG
I am also able to run "IPCONFIG /all. The results are below

Windows IP Configuration

The Cat 5 Cable is currently being used on another system, it works.
The Network is a DSL Network with a Paradyne Modem, Linksys WRT54GS Router, with Wired

I'm having the same problem but I'm not as computer inclined. Can someone
tell me the first steps to do to get my computer to be able to get online
with a cable modem set up. It won't do anything. Do I just need to type in
the words winipccfg and hit the ok button and see if that fixes it?

I have a similer problem but I'm not very computer inclined. I can't get my
computer to acess the internet and I was wondering if all I need to do is
type in winipcfg and that will fix my problem?

Default WinME will not access the network.

Hi

The solution I found was to remove Internet Connection sharing, before
removing this I could only browse my local network but no Internet site.
Removed Internet Connection Sharing, reboot and all is working.
