Default Explorer Folders Tree blank

I recently had some registry errors with win98. Started up and had some
corrupted registy entries. I fixed what I could (Install the programs that
went missing) but now when I right click my computer and select explore, my
folder's tree on the left frame is blank and greyed out.

The main frame has all the drives and folders but not the folder tree.

Can someone help?

"All Folders" Pane Missing or Windows Explorer Is Blank [Q192315]

If that doesn't work, try this: type the following in the RUN box:

REGSVR32 /i SHDOCVW and click OK.
