You appear to have made the same post now at least five
times in the last
twelve hours or so and each time I or someone else has
posted a reply. All
_you_ need to do is to read those replies. something you
appear to be
incapable of doing. The same goes for what you call the
Microsoft forums, but
again you need to read the replies

Mike, I have only submitted my two inquiries in the last
hour or so, not in 12 hours!! I don't know how you think
that I did. Thank you for the suggestion about McAfee.

That's amazing B.A. There have been five almost identical word for word posts
to that you made posted in the last twelve hours. Makes me suspect that
McAfee's latest update has caused a problem of some sort.

To one of those other posts (posted by Brian in Win Me General) Dave Lipman's
reply included the following which may be of relevance:
"Chances may be that this is caused by NOT using ENGINE v4320 on the OPs PC.".

Regards,

I am getting the same error message, and yes, this all
started after I downloaded an update from McAffe for my
virus program AND downloaded two critical updates from
Microsoft. Thanks, I've been searching for days for an
answer to this. I'll try reinstalling McAffe.

Thanks for posting, it helps confirm that something odd seems to have occurred
as a result of McAfee's latest update. Personally I think you can discount
any update you might recently installed from the Windows Update site as being
the cause of this particular problem.
