Two Monitors
If monitor is removed from / Device Manager,
on reboot this new P4 PC instals not one but two Default Monitors. Why, i.e. does this indicate something else not yet apparent? -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada)

Remove all monitors from Device Manager in safe mode, reboot and see what

This has been done: same result = autodetect and instal two Default Monitors (OK for SVGA on ASUS Radeon 9200 video.) Since default monitors require no drivers these appear identical. this happens to me since I iinstalled my new Invidia card...
