98SE and Belkin wireless routers
Anyone using a Belkin wireless-g router with your Win98se? And if so, any
problems? I plan on going broadband and have found a Belkin router (802.11g) with ver. 7000 software that according to specs on the box supports 98se and XP. I will probably use an ethernet card and hard wire the 98se and go wireless with my XP home and work laptops. Don |

Don My Belkin F5D7230 wireless router works fine with all versions of Windows, including Win98se. I'm not aware of any operating system dependencies in any wireless router. You don't have to install the router software. You can configure the router through its web interface. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. Not sure if I'll go with the 7230 or spend a bit more and go with the 9230. Don |

I wonder if the claimed benefits of MIMO -- increased speed, coverage, and reliability -- justify the extra cost. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
