Wireless Router
I have a Linksys wireless router with two antennas coming out the
back. It is on the second floor of my house by my main computer. The router is of course connected to the cable modem. My problem is, I want to get wireless access to two computers in the basement which unfortunately are directly below the router. I've tried many different antenna positions on both the router and the computers in the basement, and I can not get a very good signal on either computer. Does anyone have any advice on antenna positioning, or otherwise, to solve this problem. Thanks Henry |

Moving the router to another location in the room might help. I have computer in a separate building (shed) and found that a "range extender" worked just great. I used a "Linksys Wireless - G Range expander" . I just plugged into a wall socket at the end of the house, near the shed, and pushed a button and now have great signal strength in the shop out back. |
