Incorrect File Association - Need help to disassociate.
Hello Everyone!
Could someone please help me to unassociate a file in Windows 98? I got a ..pdf and it is opening as a .doc which results in garbage. Can someone explain to me the steps needed to release the wrong association and do it properly so it shows in PDF format? Thanks a lot! Jose. |

Select (left-click once) a .pdf file in Windows Explorer; then, right-click the file
and click "Open With..." on the menu that appears. In the dialog that appears, find and select Adobe Acrobat Reader, then put a check in the box for "Always use this program to open this file", and click OK. At that point, considering the programs involved in the snafu, I would reinstall Adobe Acrobat Reader to ensure all entries and associations are correct. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.microsoft.com/communities...t/default.mspx "Wrong File Association - HELP!!!"
