How to uncheck "Int 13 unit" box in Dev. Mgr.
I'm trying to follow manufacturer's instructions to reformat my Compact Flash
card. Before going to DOS, I'm supposed to go into Device Manager to the USB card reader's Properties then Settings page to verify the drive letter and uncheck the Int 13 unit box. The box is checked, but it's grayed out so I can't uncheck it. I believe this is the reason I can't see the drive letter in the fdisk menu. How can I make the box accessible so I can uncheck it, reboot, and then fdisk and reformat in DOS? The Windows format isn't working for me, so I hope this does the trick. Everything was working fine, but I guess the card got corrupted so the camera says it's unformatted. Thank you, thank you, thank you! So your camera can't format the card? Preferable method.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! normally the camera will reformat a corrupted disk... so it's very probably defective... a new one of larger capacity will be quite inexpensive |
