Firefox 3 , Opera 10 on Win98SE
Under Win 98SE, I got both Firefox 3.6.8 and Opera 10.61 installed.
I like Firefox as my default browser , but Opera just opens up so more more quickly (within 3-4 seconds) and displays pages more rapidly. For me, Firefox takes 10-20 seconds. Is this the same in your environment? |

And that why you should use Opera is the default browser!
Opera is the one and only that do Faxes for win98 http://www.opera.com/docs/changelogs/windows/1061/ Like Premature shutdown occurring on startup of Opera under Windows 98 Fixed. Firefox will tell you to upgrade to a newer windows like XP and up for Firefox will not do Faxes for win98.. ME or the 2000s "Ed" ex@directory wrote in message o.uk... Is this the same in your environment? My environment has been fur-free since I played with FFox for a short while and decided it was the most overrated app after MS Office. It's nice of them to make 3.6.8 98-compatible, unless you are running Kernel Ex to use it, which may be the reason for your slow performance. Kernel Ex is a waste of time, you're better off installing XP on another partition. (You DO have partitions, right?) Anyway - Opera rules and always has. THE best browser. For a /simple/ (No Fla**** or Java****) browser 10x faster than Opera, www.offbyone.com Most people are just not willing to spend the time it takes to learn how to use Opera. -- Any mental activity is easy if it need not be subjected to reality. |

Thanatoid
www.offbyone.com Most Recent: V3.5.d 2-Jan-06 mm 4 years old! Opera 10.61 , 30 days old and now coming out with Opera 10.70 for win98 offbyone It was 10 x faster than Opera. But not faster than Opera 10.61 running on win98 Opera 10.70 is 100 x faster than Off By One Web Browser with the coming of HTML5 support. So as HTML5 come out, its good to see a Web Browser like Opera for windows 98 Can offbyone Web Browser that is 4 years old do HTML5 support as fasts as Most Recent Browser I do not thank so. For offbyone Web Browser say: it is fastest web browser with full HTML 3.2 support mm that is old and out of date. But we see you Thanatoid at the Opera News Server you Opera lover you ........LOOL "thanatoid" wrote in message ...
