Does this mean the hard drive is gone? CHange it, or
reformat/reinstall software? |

It means the hard drive is either dead or damaged. You may be able to run
diagnostic software that came with your computer or hard drive (or might be able to download the software from the computer manufacturer's or hard drive manufacturer's web site) to see which is which. -- Richard G.
