Default Error Message

I have a HP Deskjet 712C. Yes I checked with HP and I have
the latest driver. This problem started right after I
downloaded virus scan 8.

What model is your printer? This is the information on

the HP web site. Have you
looked for updated drivers?

Thank you for the reply. Disableing the bidirectional
printing feature did not help. I still get the hpfvls13
error.
-----Original Message-----
To avoid the hpfvls13 error, disable the bidirectional

printing feature in the
printer properties.

Ever since I downloaded McAfee Virus Scan, I get the
folowing message after using my printer. 'This

program
has
performed an illegal operation and will be shut

down. If
the problem persists, contact the program

vendor.'HPFVLS13
caused a general protection fault in module

HPFVLS13.EXE
NOTE: I uninstalled the virus scan, and the error

message
went away. I reinstalled the virus scan, and the

error
message returned.
I talked to McAfee and they told me that this is a
Microsoft issue. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Martin
