Zip disk property shows no free space

Default Zip disk property shows no free space

After reading a zip disk the properties function always
displays the initial disks capacity even though you have
an empty disk in the drive. The Microsoft Backup program
thinks the disk is full and will not write to it. Is there
a fix?
