I have no idea where to go and post. So please don't be

Electrical interference in the power supply, such as an air conditioner
turning on and off, can create this effect. If you suspect this then a line conditioner or filter can improve things. Also, move the power cord to a different outlet, preferably on a different circuit. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (DTS) "ugo" wrote in message ... I have no idea where to go and post. I gave it some thought.. I don't think that it could be
electrical interference. Also what is a "filter" ? Most of the time this wiggly stuff happens when i go on "Paltalk" don't know if you know what that is And when it happens i just sit very still here and pray that i doesn't crash ..which has never happened, but often i just reboot and then it will be ok for a little while.I even tried other outlets.. Some one suggested something about outgasssing please don't laugh but i did not trust him since he was just in a room in "paltalk" Well thanks again I am confident that these probs will eventually be corrected with help from you. ugo -----Original Message----- Electrical interference in the power supply, such as an air conditioner turning on and off, can create this effect. I would not believe anything I hear on paltalk, whatever it is.
Degaussing is a process that removes residual magnetism from the display components. It is usually automatic at turn on - if there is a 'woomp' sound when you turn your screen on then that's the degausser. The symptom of needing the process is blurred colours or incorrect colours, especially if they occur in patches. It has nothing to do with shaking or shimmering. If you have a nearby source of electromagnetic radiation (some fluorescent lights can do this, as well as motors and large speakers, and any radio transmitter) then this can create shaking. A filter is a device inserted in the power lead that smooths out irregularities in the power supply. A possible source of the problem is a faulty monitor. I have also heard of viruses that do odd things to the display. However, power line problems are by far the most likely cause. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (DTS) "ugo" wrote in message ...
