Default shortcut keys not working

In Word 2000, I can no longer use my ctrl___ keys. They
worked fine this morning!!! I have been searching around
for a couple of hours, and I can't figure out how I
inadvertently turned off the function. Tools/Customize
doesn't help. Nothing has helped. HELP!!!

thanks.

Did you try rebooting? Reloading the drivers? Stuck key?
