Web Connection Failure
Running IE on WinME machine (P4, 512M). After failed install of NSW 2005,
IE 6 & Outlook Express can't connect to web. I can ping my ISP gateway and DNS servers & my time UDP packets pass through ok, other machines on my network connect to web no problem. I am also able to connect to my router via IE6, just can't get beyond the router except that after a long wait I can bring up Google and once I get to Google I can navigate within Google, but if I try to open another site I get a time out. I tried removing and reinstalling TCP-IP, IE6, Norton and even reinstalled ME. Nothing I've done has made any difference with my browser problems. I don't believe the problem is with IE as MSMoney will not connect to my bank either. I use a DSL connection but tried to connect through my modem with the same result, the modem connects and completes the login but after the connection is up, IE will still time out looking for a site. I would sure appreciate any and all suggestions that may address my problem. Thanks Barry |
