I just read in another thread that you have going that you have EZ BIOS
overlay software installed. You either need to continue using that software or remove it and use the W98 boot disk. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "BR&Y" wrote in message ... i made a bootdisk from bootdisk .com Scince i cant start windows 98 how else can i make a bootdisk? If you have an EZ BOIS floppy disk, you can use that. If not, this should
do it: Zap or Wipe freeware will remove all partition information so you can start over fresh with FDisk. In your first message you said you typed formatc:
You should type format c: /s to a command prompt to format your active = partition, or type format drive: if you want to format a partition that = is not your active partition. If you typed what you entered in your = first message you would get an error because there is no space after = fomat. The correct command for formatting the C drive is format C:
Notice there is a space between the command format and C.
