I've always found the delete button very useful for removing unwanted
files. Not that Win Me, by default, installs any non western fonts. If
you have added a feature you now don't want, uninstall it.

A clean install of Win Me installs 31 Truetype (TTF) Fonts none of which
is "non western" other than for the special fonts Marlett, Webdings and
Wingdings.

Not wishing to be personal however I'm sorry but you do appear from this
post and others to have either a reading or comprehension problem. May I
ask which part of "If you have added a feature you now don't want,
uninstall it" and "A clean install of Win Me installs 31 Truetype (TTF)

Arial (Turkish) is not in the list of fonts on my Windows ME system. You
apparently have some application which installs that font. You would have to
find out which application requires Arial (Turkish), and remove that
application.

I can only assume you didn't read what I've typed. I have to ask myself
whether there is any point in my replying in future to your posts.

For the very last time, Arial (Turkish) is not, repeat NOT, part of the
default English Win Me and if present you, that is YOU, have voluntarily
installed it as part of some application you have installed. The only
fonts that are part of the English Win Me are as follows:

Truetype (TFF) (variants in brackets): Arial (5, normal, black, bold, bold
italic and italic), Comic Sans (2), Courier New (4), Impact, Lucinda
Console, Marlett, Symbol, Tahoma (2), Times New Roman (4), Trebuchet (4),
Verdana (4), Webdings and WingDings. 31 in total

FON: Courier, Sans Serif, Serif, Small Fonts and Symbol. 5 in total.

Nowhere in the English Win Me cab set (install files) is there any font
file containing a non western character set.

Certain basic fonts are prevented from being deleted when located in the
windows\font folder, these files being:
arial.ttf, arialbd.ttf, arialbi.ttf, ariali.ttf, arialuni.ttf,
cour.ttf, courbd.ttf, courbi.ttf, couri.ttf
marlett.ttf,
micross.ttf, (No font with this name is isntalled as part of Win Me)
tahoma.ttf, tahomabd.ttf,
times.ttf, timesbd.ttf, timesbi.ttf
None of which contains a non western character set other than perhaps
arialuni.ttf which whilst protected against deletion is not installed as
part of Win Me but does form part of Microsoft Office 2000.

Something I have already said at least twice in this thread already but
the poster seems to be having problems in either reading or understanding
those replies.

Better Look He

Why aren't these fonts showing up in Windows 98 or XP? and, yes, I
have the same version of works installed on all 3 systems (works with
word) with the same configurations.
