windows explorer locking up - is this normal?
now seems to be when i browse the network more than anything.
Heirloom wrote: PT quoted my reference to moving the Acceleration slider and said it seemed to help, Harry. PT, if the 'hangs' are still taking place, but, not as often, you may have more than one issue taking place. Have you added any applications that would correspond to the problem beginning?? (this would include updating programs). Will be out of town for the next 4-5 days........maybe a more knowledgeable body will jump in with more suggestions. You may want to give the 'selective startup' a shot.....can't hurt. And have a go with Process Explorer........it will tell you a lot! Your reply doesn't contain any reference to what you might have done about it, the lock-up that is, unless it's hidden between the lines and somewhat invisible to me. H.
