Finding CD KEY from WinME CD :was help with logo.sys

A typical Sugiesque whining drone.... Not only that - but he's wrong about the license, as well!! No matter WHO you are, an OEM License is tied to the machine it's frist installed on. If removed from that particular machine, and you are an OEM, you can install that key to another machine *if* you have a multi-license, so you don't know as much as *you* think you do. I have long ago however use all my keys for my multipack. ... Oh, and I will take that as a NO , and that you don't know how to get a cd key from just the CD, right? It's not possible, as you should very well know, since the keys are NOT encoded on the CD. -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2006, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.com/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's |

Well ok then; but you should have known however that each cd key will install on 10,000 machines or was the 9,999. so I guess what I was asking in a round about way was that using that serial number from off my original WinME CD if anyone had a key for it; but I guess just for the test and seeing as how I won't be putting the machine on line any way, I will just use a key from the same run of CD's. After all I am an OEM and *do* have access to quite a lot of CD keys; but I guess I could try my multipack key as the machine will not be leaving my premises and not online. -- VIA TITS (Teenager In Tennis Shoes)proxy of Sugien /} @###{ ]:::::ino-Soft Softwa::::: \} This post brought to you by Sneaker Net floppyware |

Well Dickbrain.....it is obvious you don't know much about Outlook Express.
I made a Message Rule for just the two AV groups for starters. Simply because that was where you were driving everyone nuts with your lies and bragging..... Then you disappeared back to alt.hackers.malicious to try and impress that group of losers (note: only one O). And I didn't bother killfiling you in this group for 2 reasons......one being that I didn't think you would stick around. The second was so I could enjoy watching you irritate the hell out of these nice, intelligent people....and see how long it took before they caught onto your lies and lack of knowledge. So no...you are not killfiled. If you should bore me enough, I will. But that is MY decision, not yours. (yawn) Heather PS....Why are you pretending you are using legal copies of anything? Note to self...discuss this with Laura) "Sugien" wrote in message ... btw, Heather, I thought you had ;me killfiled? now don't try and say you only have me killfiled in other newsgroups; because most all news readers have their filters for *all* groups and not separate filters for individual groups. I have lost my Jewel Case CD to my OEM WinME CD. It is a real hologram edge to edge CD. it has 0400 Part No X05-74739. I know how to recover a lost COA number or Jewel case CD Key from a system that is up and running before wiping it and installing if the key has been lost; but I have searched the Microsoft Knowledge base and Googled it, and I can only find where you have to contact Microsoft. The system the WinME was on has been sold and that user bought a retail WinXP Pro and I put it on and they let me keep my WinME OEM CD because they had no use for it. I called the user and they sold the machine long time ago because they wanted a better system then a 1Ghz. I said I would install the WinMe over the weekend and then have the definitive details one way or the other on the logo.sys Vs. sulogo.sys; however without the CD Key I don't see how I am going to be able to install the WinMe on my Spare test/pig machine. Anyone out there know how to, or if it is even possible to pull the cd key from the cd it's self? I sure don't know how to get it from just the original OEM CD and I sure don't feel like sending Microsoft $30 like what it said in one of the knowledge base articles for getting a replacement CD. Seeing as how I am a OEM and if I build a new system I can legally install the WinME cd to any new system I build and then sell the system; but I would of course have to let the WinME cd go with the system, and I would need the CD Key to do that, so as of right now the WinME CD is a useless coaster. -- VIA TITS (Teenager In Tennis Shoes)proxy of Sugien /} @###{ ]:::::ino-Soft Softwa::::: \} This post brought to you by Sneaker Net floppyware |

You sure can NOT read for content can YOU, what part of "The system the WinME was on has been sold and that user bought a retail WinXP Pro and I put it on " do you NOT understand? The operative word here is "*WAS*" the machine the WinME *was* on as in NO LONGER on; because I took it off and put on the WinXP pro that they bought; because they did NOT want the WinME that was on it, so the system never left with WinME installd on it; because it *was* removed and WinXP put on in it's place. Do you know how confuse you sound? expressly when you say: "The CLEAR implication of this is that you passed the machine to the user WITH ME INSTALLED - and the user later installed ME" you are in that statement trying to say that the people got a machine *with* ME preinstalled and which the later *installed*?? Nowhere in your quoted text did you say that you did NOT sell them the computer with WinME on it.......nor did you say WHEN you put XP on it. So the logical understanding is that you DID sell them the WinME computer, then later installed XP and they gave you back your ME CD. Comprendez? Quote..... Re-reading it again, you say you sold that WinME system and that *THAT USER* (of WinME) bought XP Pro later and so on. Worm-wriggler.....stop trying to weasel out of what you said. HF |

Pure bs, you are the worm wiggler because you mis-read it and won't own up to the mistake, how could WinME and XP both be on the system at the same time?, well even though there are ways of doing that, that however was not the case and when XP is put on a system ME is NO LONGER on the system. they had no need of the ME cd because ME was no longer on the system; because I took ME off and put XP on, you are at last the worse worm wiggle of all -- VIA TITS (Teenager In Tennis Shoes)proxy of Sugien /} @###{ ]:::::ino-Soft Softwa::::: \} This post brought to you by Sneaker Net floppyware |
