I tried those but where I thought I hade everything correct
apparently I didn't I got both pcs on the internet now,but they are not seeing each other yet and thats what I want them to do. because 1.create backups of stuff on newer pc on the older pc. 2.Move things used only periodically from new to old pc to speed up newer pc "Richard G. This page is very good for Win98 networking:
http://www.homenethelp.com/web/howto...et-Win98p1.asp I have had luck in the past with the Search feature on the Start menu-use the "Search for computers on the Network" dialogue(I forget the exact wording inWin98).
