Default I.E. 6.0

Clicked on ie today to go to home page and received the
error HTTP 500 "There is a problem with the page you are
trying to reach and it cannot be displayed". Looked up
error Http 500 on internet and it stated to uncheck "show
friendly HTTP error messages". on the internet options
advanced tab I did this snd received the message "need to
send either "Target" or "PRD".

As an old, relative new user I'm at a complete loss as
what to do.

Appreciate any help given.

This probably means there was a problem in accessing the server with the
desired page.
Tomorrow, this may be cleared up, ... or not, if the page has been removed!

It is unlikely it means anything is wrong with your system. Retest.
If error, examine the setting for your home page in Internet Options.

this is a problem at the web site's end, not yours. It is a web server
error.
