Default How to save 'special' google home page images?

Today, google put up a special, seasonal Thanksgiving image. When
it's a simple jpg or gif, right click and save the image, but today
the image is animated and won't save using that technique.

Any ideas on how to save the 'animated' image?

So they're JPG not GIF... So you'd have to make a web page with script to
show one cache-salvaged image after another with a time interval. Given that
GIF's dithering is more than good enough for the small images Google use,
they'd have done better to make an animated GIF. The images would look
sharper too, likely with smaller total file size. And if they HAD done that,
then my method would have worked. I may have bene wrong, but only because
they didn't use a better method that occurs to most who know it! But then I
have other recent cause to know that Google don't do things the best way, or
even very intelligently at times (it recently took them 37 hours to realise
that their new 'Advanced' page wasn't setting focus in the main text field,
before they fixed it), so I guess I shouldn't expect them to do anything the
way even a web-designer noob learns early. They may have all kinds of hidden
smarts but that's no fix for overt stupidity. I wasn't even considering them
stupid. My suggestion came from assuming they were smart.

And you just posted a link to someone else who did the work. Do you never
make guesses? Are you really so proud of yourself that you only talk to me
when you think it's easy to make me look bad? Maybe it's NOT that easy, so I
suggest you don't waste time trying too hard.

When I post advice it's typically something I've personally tested and
have found to work. If it's something I have not tested, I generally say
so and tell the OP that I have not personally tried it.

I was not trying to be overly negative when I made those comments to you
nor should my comments been construed as a personal attack on you.
I am quite sure my advice is anything but perfect

Ok. Good response. If we try to keep the SNR good here, I'm ok with that. I
post a lot at times, but I do try to make it interesting, and I don't mind
going the extra distance if there seems to be anything useful in it. I think
we managed to avoid getting each other confused with the usenet plonkers
which is good. (I un-plonked 98Guy because he says interesting things at
times, and if he can avoid irritating my hair trigger then he'll stay
unplonked.)

Fair enough then.

Yeah I think I had 98guy plonked at one time too due to the tone of his
remarks.

This URL came up with "Reader Account Suspended"

Was the information too good? Was there malware embedded?

Better yet. What did it say to do?
