As I said - you need to RUN the program you download, it then creates the
boot disk, Simply copying the file to the floppy doesn't do the job.

The OEM one is the correct one for your purposes - the Alt1 and Alt2 are
exactly the same, they just come from different places in case the first
site is down

Just follow the instructions I pointed you at, and you
can't go too far
wrong -

If it's too confusing, get a more computer-savvy friend
to help you out (but
make sure that they have actually done the same thing
themselves before -
successfully!)

You can't uninstall an OS, unless it's an upgrade
You can't boot from any WinME CD - unless it's a
manufacturer's Recovery
disk
You can create your own Emergency Boot Disk (Startup
Disk) either by using
the wizard at Add/Remove Programs |Startup Disk, or by
downloading a boot
disk maker from www.boootdisk.com (get the ME OEM

one -
it's the same one
that you'll create from A/R Progs), and running the
download on your PC to
create the floppy.

reformat? i have no clue how to do that.. when it
comes
to
this thing i am dumb..lol...
-----Original Message-----
Boot from the Safety Boot floppy you made when you
installed ME.

Reformat the hard drive Windows is on.

Reinstall ME from the CD. (Is it a full install -

not
an
upgrade version?)

Make sure you backup or save everything you'll want
when
you reinstall ME.
