shared printer on 98 and XP problems
Hi,
I have just bought a new HP Deskjet 2300 series USB printer. I have installed it onto a windows XP machine and shared it for all users. I now have 2 98 machines and I am having some trouble connecting to the printer. I can see it over the network but can't seem to get it to work. I run through the wizard but can't find the correct drivers to load the printer. I get to the stage with the list of printer and click on HP (left hand side) and then my printer isn't in the Right hand side list so I click 'have disk' but then can't find any file that works (can't find the software that is associated with your hardware). I have also tried installing the printer onto the 98 first, then transferring it back to the XP then trying to connect to the shared printer but still can not get a connection. I am stuck.
