not able to make connection over FTP????

for some reason every time i type in the word myspace my computer goes
crazy...it wont go to it on google or just . ...my computer
goes really slow and eventually just stops tryin to connect to the
webpage
this is not the only website my computer "rejects"
i did a diagnostics test and this is what it said:
windows did not detect any with your internet connection over HTTP and
HTTPS, but was not able to make a successful connection over FTP. The
most likely cause of this problem is that a firewall client running on
your machine is blocking the necessary FTP ports.

so i turned off the firewall on my computer and that still hasnt
helped...ive tried changing the security settings and nothing works...

i cant access half of the internet and im not sure why this is


help me please
