Default Windows95, 98 and 2000 will BANNED on March 1, 2012 - Violators will be Prosecuted

New rule by Microsoft. On March 1, 2012 anyone still using Windows 95,
Windows 98 and/or Windows 2000 *MUST* stop using these operating
systems. These outdated systems will be banned. Any violators who
continue to use these outdated operating systems will be arrested, and
receive fines from $2500 up to $20,000 and/or receive a Prison term not
to exceed ten years.

Everyone *MUST* stop using Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows 2000 by
this date of March 1, 2012, or face severe consequences. This is a
serious matter with serious consequences. Using advanced surveilance
techniques, Microsoft will be monitoring all computers on the internet
to find those who are using Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows 2000.
Violators will be immediately arrested, prosecuted, and found guilty
without delay. There will be no court hearings available, since our
surveilance equipment is fool-proof and will serve as judge and jury
without the need for human intervention in brick and mortar court rooms.

Windows XP will be added to this ban list on Jan 1, 2013, and Vista on
March 1, 2014. We of Microsoft want everyone using Windows 7, or you
will face severe consequences. This means everyone, including YOU! No
exceptions! No exemptions! no extensions!

Yeah, I had to look at my calendar to make sure we didn't just skip a
month and a half last night. ;o) And even though it's obviously phony
(look at that E mail address, foir example) I still wouldn't be too quick
to dismiss something like that *as* phony, knowing Micro$oft. Makes me
glad I don't have a Window$ machine on the network!

HA!

I use Linux.

I also find it odd that Bill Gates himself posts here

He wouldn't, that's for sure.
Someone is having himself some fun with us.
And we don't have to rely on Linux either.
Just take it in stride.

Heck, Bill Gates sends me emails all the time. I even gave him my SS# so
that he could confirm who I was so that he could send me a free Win7 OS to
replace my aging Win2000ProSP4.

What, no Windows at all? You'll be _first_ in their sights!

(BTW, your ASCII art signature has alternate blank lines - is that
intentional? It doesn't always.)
