Default Windows Networking Message

At start up, I receive a Windows Networking message which
says; " Your network adapter Intel PRO/100S Desktop
Adapter is not working properly. You may nedd to set it
up again."
I went to Windows Help but cannot seem to find the info to
help this problem.
