Default Uninstall feature not working in Windos Add/Remove utility

I get the following error: "This action is only valid for
products that are currently installed." Even though the
programs are shown in the Add/Remove list and Program
Files directory, I am unable to uninstall them. I used
regedit to remove the programs but it is very times
consuming and I don't know if everything was removed. How
tdo I get my Windows Add/Remove utility to work again?

Sounds like you've 'partially' removed your program and therefore WinMe
Add/Remove has 'lost' some of the programs installation details.

Try re-installing it again and then uninstalling it. That should remove it
cleanly, including registry entries - although it *may* leave one or two
minor benign remnants behind, e.g. empty folders etc.
