Default Deskktop Icons

Windows 98. When I arrange icons, with or without any
option checked, on boot, the icons are re-arranged, all on
left side of desktop. How can I get icons arranged the way
that I want?

That will happen after playing some games, if your computer crashes,
or if you have run other software (video adapter software, or
something else?) which changes the screen's size or number of colors.
The re-arrangement prevents icons from getting "lost" off the edges of
the screen when the screen changes size. There are several utilities
which will save and restore your icon arrangements, including...

- Activicons (freeware) - http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_ai.html for
links (the options to save and restore the arrangement are on its
"Desktop Controls" screen).

- EZ-Desk ($15) - http://www.ezwaretech.com/

(both allow you to save multiple arrangements)

(don't live at a com or net - address listed is altered)
