Default LInks in Windows Explorrer (My Documents) do not work

When I open explorer (for example selecting My Computer) the standard
hyperlinks on the left hand side ( My Documents, My Network Places and
Dial-up Networking) have stopped working.

If you float over them, the description pops up, and when you select one the
color changes from blue to tan/yellow - but nothing happens.

If I select two of then in sequesnce explorer freezes up (Stops Responding)

Paul

I seem to recall that this was caused by installing the update Q824145.
This question was posted several times early 2004.
At the time uninstalling this update, restored the functionality of the
'Hyperlinks'.
You must have been without your 'Hyperlinks' for quite a while,
unless you have only recently installed the update.

Thanks Grorge---Just an annoying windows thing that I finally got around to
addressing - I have been having a lot of Kernel32 crashes and thought it
might somhow be related..

It is also time to upgrade....
