Default Refusal to save

I am using Windows 98 and have for some long time. I write
history books and have had no trouble saving the documents
and their corrections. Suddenly my machine refuses to save
the documents. A window appears saying that the disk is
full even though I have 15 Gigabytes of free space. This
just happened suddenly. Can anyone tell me what the
problem might be and how to correct it ????

Try emptying the recycle bin.
Empty the Temporary Internet Files
Empty the Temp folder C:\Windows\Temp
Delete the swap file (can only do it in DOS, it should be
C:\Windows\Win386.swp)
In Safe Mode do a defrag.

One step further. What is indicating you have 15GBs of free space? And, is
it formatted space on the partition you're referring to, or, hard drive free
space unpartitioned or unformatted?
