Default CD Player

My 98 box does not "see" the CD drive anymore. There is
no letter assigned to it and when I put a CD into the
player, nothing happens. Any help you offer is great.

That's the same problem I'm haing and nobody seems to know
how get 98 to recognize the drive. I'd check my IDE
controllers though in device manager
