compatibility issues with Vista
My customer is starting to upgrade their pc's to Windows Vista. In the past,
under XP and using Excel, they provided a tab-delimited file as input to my inkjet system that uses Windows 98. No problem! Now under Vista, using Excel (2007) I can read the file, but it doesn't recognize it as tab-delimted, this not formatting correctly. I open in XP on my pc, import into EXcel and then output as tab-delimited and it still won't work. I put it out as CSV and it is fine. The only problem using CSV is there is a comma in the City State field that must remain and it gets dropped even though it has quotes. My vendor admits it is a bug in their system and the workaround is tab-delimted. Does anyone know of, or experiencing any compatibility issues with tab-delimited files? Thanks, Bob |

Your problem isn't one that this group is qualified to answer. You need to
ask in an Excel 2007 group. -- Gary S. Terhune MS-MVP Shell/User http://www.grystmill.com "BobVanS" wrote in message ... My customer is starting to upgrade their pc's to Windows Vista.
