MS Windows 98 upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition

I have an old laptop running Windows 98 First Edition
that I have been asked to upgrade to Windows 98 Second
Edition. I have the full program install CD for the
Windows 98 Second Edition. Can I do an upgrade from this
disk or will everything come crashing down? Any tricks
or "got-cha's"?

Windows 98SE Retail Full will upgrade an existing W98 system to SE. There
are no particular issues, but as with any major system work follow the
instructions carefully, and a backup of essential files is worthwhile.

A Windows 98SE OEM CD probably can't be used to do an upgrade.

Looks like I should have read the existing posts first
before posting this one. Looks like all my questions are
answered in previous posts, but if anyone wants to
comment I would like to see what they have to say.
