Default WMP

I was finally able to reinstall WinME by deleting
WMPLOC.dll, WMPLOC.001 and WMPLOC.002. Now, the WMP won't
open and I get a message "an internal application error
has occured"

Now what?

Hi

I'm not sure what your original problem was, but you may like to think about
upgrading to XP.

Hi

I can't be certain - I'm coming from XP, not Win 9x.

I've no idea Will.

In fact I have no idea if WMP10 works at all (I have a copy but haven't
bothered to install it) since IMO none of WMP7, 8 or 9 are worth bothering
about. There are other much better players available.

Since you ask though I am now checking (on a VPC of course, I don't want
to destroy my well-behaved Win Me system g))! Nope "This version of WMP
can be installed only on a computer running XP (32-bit)" so it looks as if
Win Me users are spared for now any problems that WMP10 might gift its
users. :-)

I just love the thought of someone running WMP10 on a PII 233 with 64MB
RAM and XP Pro SP2. :-)

The mind boggles at what is attempted to run with limited resources
