Default fatal excption OE 0028:FF09CC2F

When I start up win98 I always get blue screen with fatal exception error as indicated. I can proceed with start up by hitting any key and thereby get through the process.

Is there a way to fix OE so I don't always have at start up.

If you have recently installed any Windows updates from the Windows Update site,
press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and see if "Kb891711" is listed as a running task there. If
it is, select it and click End task, then look in Control Panel Add\Remove
Programs, and uninstall the KB891711 update. Then post back here with results and
further instructions.

(BTW, it is 0E, not OE)

If KB891711 is not installed, see here for clues:

Replies should be made to the group/forum, not to email.
You uninstalled Kb891711, and the blue screens still occur?

Startup problems are sometimes related to shutdown issues, so have a look he
Windows Shutdown Troubleshooter:

Also see (though you don't say if it is a *fatal* exception):

BTW, it is 0E, not OE, in the error screen.
