Default downloading new program

I have attempted to download free AVG anti-virus from the
Grisoft.com web site. I downloaded to disk, then when I
click the AVG icon on the desk top to complete the
installation I receive the following:

A dialogue box with a white X inside a red circle titled
"Winzip Self-Extractor"
It reads: Zip file is damaged, truncated, or has been
changed since it was created. If you downloaded this file,
try downloading again.

I have tried 3 times with the same results.
I have had this anti-virus protection on this computer
previously and it worked fine.I have recently had a new
hard drive installed. How can I fix this problem.

What about any other self extractors?
If you have the same message with others or a "header corrupt"
message, read on:

You may not like this answer from the Winzip FAQ but it seems to be
the most common cause....

Why am I suddenly getting "header corrupt" messages when I run
self-extractors?
