Is there anything - space, return - in the cell before you do the paste? (Turn on the invisibles - the backwards P button - to see.) 2. Is the orientation in that cell different to the rest? Oops, I meant alignments (justifications) - there are three possible orientations too, though I doubt you'd have changed _that_ accidentally, and I'm not sure how it'd affect a pasted picture anyway. -- J. Thank You. How do I check the alignment or orientation?

writes: Thank You. How do I check the alignment or orientation? Sol [] There's a button in the table toolbar, if you have it activated, with a drop-down arrow next to it; the button shows the last alignment selected, and will have a square round it if you click on a cell that has the selected alignment. If you click the drop-down arrow, it'll show the nine possible alignments (top left, top middle, top right, etc.), with a square round the one for the currently-selected cell. For orientation, look under (IIRR) Format, text direction. If it's either of the vertical ones, too, the lines in the icon for the alignment run vertically, too. I may not be using the terms alignment/orientation correctly. -- J. P. Gilliver.
