WIN98SE - How to Re-install from Cab files!
My system got hijacked and I can not clear my search bar
from going to th.msie.cc or .tv. Two days searching newsgroups with no success - I was able to get my home page back, I want to wipe the system clean and start over but all I have is the cab files on the hard disk. (windows/options/cabs) Can it be done and how?

Yes, I hope this works--
At the C:\ prompt, type CD WINDOWS & press ENTER Type CD CABS and press ENTER Type SETUP and press ENTER This should take you to the Windows reinstallation screen. -----Original Message----- My system got hijacked and I can not clear my search bar from going to th.msie.cc or .tv. No setup file in that directory!!!
