Default hardware wizard problem

I have little computer knowledge and this may be a trivial problem.
However, I have windows 98SE on my laptop and have been trying to
install a 2.0 portable flash drive. I have had a 1.1 flash drive
installed in the past and that is what my system is compatible for.

However, I have been told that I can use a 2.0 flash drive on my laptop
but everything will run at the 1.1 speed. I "think" this will be ok
with me. But, I have somehow lost the "Hardware(?) wizard that pops up
when you are trying to add new hardware to your system.

Can someone tell me how to get this back?

any assistance will be very much appreciated. Thanks!!!!

The flash drive will need drivers for Win98SE, supplied by the flash drive
manufacturer. If a driver disc did not come with the drive, visit the
manufacturer's web site for a driver download.
Note: not all flash drives have Win98SE drivers available.
