Default win98 boot up error

My CPU runs at 3.2 Ghz. I receive, when booting, " while
initializing NDIS WINDOW PROTECTION ERROR". I understand
that this is because the CPU speed exceeds 2.1 Ghz. I
cannot find the fix whish is supposedly named Ndis.vxd.
Can any one help me? Thanks

(312108) - When you are installing Windows 95 or Windows 98 on a
computer that has a CPU that runs at 2.2 gigahertz (GHz) or faster, you

It should state right on that web page that you must contact Microsoft for the fix.
Tell them you want the hotfix mentioned in KB article 312108, because you are
experiencing the symptoms described there (note that the fix is only for original
Win98 and should not apply for Win98SE).

When you call MS, be sure to ask only for that specific hotfix, and do not ask any
support questions at all; then be sure to ask: "So, this is free, right?"

AFAIK, the number in the US is (800) 936-5700

Just as Glee said. Also, seems it's a toll-free number. So, if at first
you don't succeed, try, try again.
