conflict between adobe and ME
Has anyone had this problem, I am going to a site that is heavy into PDF
files and I click to retrive the file and adobe sits there. I look at the file and find it is not a very big file but Adobe acts like it is in a world of it own and doesn't retreive the file or is very slow doing it. Granted if it is a large file it would take some time to download, but it does it randomly. It could be working one minute and the next boom. I am running Windows ME with 384 RAM (which I can't expand) 20 GB HD and IE 5.5. Thanks for any advice or solutions |

A workaround I've found is if Acrobat starts to do that, just open up TaskManager Ctrl-Alt-Del and EndTask Acrobat, then click the link again. Rick |

Meanwhile, displaying .pdfs in IE can be problematic. Better to save the document than to open it, or r-click the shortcut and do Save Target, than to d-click it. Or disable the option to view in the browser. Shane |

FFx has the same problems with AcroRd as IE; I actually did what you
suggested (took it out of browser display) Rick Shane wrote: "Rick T" wrote in message ... xwdpuzzler wrote: Has anyone had this problem, I am going to a site that is heavy into PDF files and I click to retrive the file and adobe sits there. I don't think I've ever tried reading a pdf in FFx.
btw I missed the Lanc fly-by over the museum on VE day. The only time (that I can remember) I saw a flying Lanc, it flew over with the BBMF while I was on a roof garden where I used to work and the throb was fabulous. I bet it came over much lower over the museum! I also missed Angelina Jolie :-( Shane "Rick T" wrote in message ...
