Mouse Question
Was this a 'new' mouse that you plugged in?? Other than my previous post
updating of the software, you may want to test the wire and connection. Hold your mouse still and wiggle the wire coming from it and also the connection at the back of your cpu. If you get any movement of the cursor (or any other reaction to the movement), you probably have a defective cord (not impossible even new out-of-the-box). Sorry I couldn't say, "This is your problem and here is how to fix it", but, not being there makes a big difference. Another option would be to boot into the Safe Mode and see if the mouse operates properly there. If so, you can just about rely on the problem being related to the mouse and/or video card software. Heirloom, old and just glad mine works "bagger" wrote in message ... I replaced my Logitech Mouse wheel (sticky wheel), original equipment with a Logictech optical mouse ps/2 usb, works erractically. Mouse Question
An optical mouse won't work well on some surfaces like exceptionally glossy
ones of smooth surfaces with no texture to them. Are you trying it on a standard mouse pad? If not, try that. If you're already using a mouse pad, try something else. -- Gary S.
