I have been using the router for nearly a year now with no problems.

Yes, Joan. I do know exactly what you mean. Me? I wouldn't touch NAV or any
other of their products with a bargepole (as I've said on several occasions) but Noel has such an eloquent way of chastising people who do - especially with WinMe. Probably yes - but don't forget to set some SR points before you start, you
can always get back if it belly-up again. Also, you may wish to wait until Noel returns before you proceed. He may well offer some very useful advice - to your advantage. ERROR:OE:0028:C02C29AD
Try disabling (or rather uninstalling) UPnP from Add/Remove Programs|Windows
Setup Then get rid of that virus commonly called Norton! You may not realise it, but the vast majority of (non-operator-related) problems in these ME groups are related to Symantec/Norton products - which have a rather monotonous, and annoying habit of attempting to break Windows ME in any way that they can find (I'm still waiting for someone from the company to sue me for anything! - and they're almost as lackadaisical in that as they are in fixing any of the many screw-up's they cause in ME!). BTW, people may have to be sent on a special training course to get rid of all traces of Norton - it's more pervasive than almost any known virus! (PLEASE, Symantec - sue me!g) Having got rid of Norton, your system will breathe a huge sigh of relief, and probably start working the way it should do for the first time since Norton was installed! - just make sure that you immediately install appropriate replacement software. (NOT whatever Wanadoo happen to be pushing this month!), which works happily with ME. For advice as to options, start a new thread in this group - I have to resist the temptation for the present, as I have to go cook supper!g -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2006, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.com/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "scorpio" wrote in message news I tried again but same outcome so have left alone until i can find out why it is happenning "Mart" wrote: Probably yes - but don't forget to set some SR points before you start, you can always get back if it belly-up again.
