Default computer keeps beeping

W98. Person noticed memory only showing 32 instead of 64.
Took out memory & reinserted. Now when hit power button,
it won't stop beeping & nothing will come up on the
monitor. Tried putting in each memory stick by itself in
different slots, but didn't help. They are being
properly seated. Any suggestions?

The memory may be bad. The user may have "zapped" the memory modules with his
body's static electricity when removing them. Have the RAM checked at a shop with a
RAM tester.
