my system has virtually ground to a halt because of this
program. can anybody tell me how to get rid of it
completely.

I am having the same problem. Can someone please help me fix this???????????? I have not been able to use my computer because of this.

Hi Chris,

Here's some information on the matcli file. It was reported
that Ad-Aware will remove it.

Ad-aware is a free multi spyware removal utility that scans
your memory, registry and hard drives for known spyware

Ad-Aware make sure to run the update feature before scanning.

spyware and such, it may be necessary to run Ad-Aware several
times to clear them all.
