Hi I have removed a lan from win98 and now I can not get
the system to detect my modem checked irq's and
resources. I made sure it was still good via another
machine, I heard of this type of kink in the past but did
not write down fix can someone help.

Default No Modem Detection

Are there any conflicts in the device manager that need to be resolved?
Also, what are the IRQ and hex address settings for the modem you are using,
if it isn't plug and play?
