Tape Drive error
I finally got win98 installed on my puter. I was given
this old HP Colorado T3000 tape drive, so I decided to install it in the machine, since there was an open bay for it. I don't have the software or drivers for it, so I went to HP website and downloaded it...or I think that's what it was. The description was: "HP Colorado Backup Cataloger Module for Windows 95. When I went to open the folder, this error came up: "A required .dll file, DBDAO3.DLL, was not found". What does this mean, and what should I do? Windows doesn't even recognize the drive in the device manager, and never detected it when I booted. |

Sounds like that software is simply for maintaining a catalog of what files
are on the tapes. "DRIFT-O-MATIC" wrote in message ... I finally got win98 installed on my puter. -----Original Message----- Sounds like that software is simply for maintaining a catalog of what files are on the tapes. You're probably right. The website had no other downloads for this tape drive. Do you know of any other way I can find the software and drivers for it? |

Not really. That is pretty (very) old stuff.
Average users moved to CD-RW drives quite a while ago; the drives are really cheap. OK, I found out why it won't work. The minimum requirement is Windows NT. I'm running 98. Oh, well. |
