Explorer problem

Using Win98Se and whenever I open a folder or a drive the
back and forward buttons up on the top menu bard are
NOT working. I can not go back and fort between
folders/drives those two items are always grayed out.
All hepl will be appreciated

Have you un/in-stalled anything large lately? Or has there been an
event/crash of any kind lately? Anyhow...

(1) "START, Run, MSInfo32, Tools menu, IE Repair Tool"

It produces a rather large "Fix IE Log.txt" in C:\Windows. IE & E
are basically one & the same. If this crashes, an over-install of IE is
indicated.

(2) Update definitions & check for viruses, and...
