Default Ping?

I have peer-to-peer working on my laptop - to my desktop. I can ping
the laptop from the desktop, but when I try to ping the desktop from the
laptop the ping seems to head for the internet instead of the local net.
That is, my firewall intercepts it and says it is attempting to access
the internet. The firewall (ZA) has been configured to allow access to
the desktop address via the "Trusted zone" setup.

Where/how do I correct this?

Thanks

A gateway isn't even necessary on peer, right?

I'll double check.
